Neighborhood East Village

About East Village

The East Village lies east of Greenwich Village and was once generally considered to be part of the Lower East Side. However, it began to develop its own identity and culture in the late 1960s, when many artists, musicians and students began to move into the area. The diverse community and vibrant nightlife has arguably made the East Village the most exciting neighborhood in Manhattan. Upscale and exciting nightlife perfectly compliment a community with studious and hard working residents.
