Neighborhood Greenwich Village

About Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village, often referred to in New York as simply “the Village”, was home to a myriad of artists in the 1950s, and an artistic vibe remains. The neighborhood is bordered by Broadway to the east, the Hudson River to the west, Houston Street to the south, and 14th Street to the north, and roughly centered around Washington Square and New York University. Its collegial atmosphere coupled with diverse residents gives the neighborhood a vivacious and ebullient feel. The historical and architectural integrity of the community has been preserved, leaving the area with a charming atmosphere.
